A friend of mine recently reached out to me for a custom artwork to accompany their LinkedIn article. The theme of the article is centred around disinformation, kayfabe, pro-wrestling and also briefly touches on Plato's Cave Allegory. The brief was very opened and free to my interpretation as long as it was eye-catching. I was excited about this project because I grew up watching the World Wrestling Entertain (WWE), formerly the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and Impact Wrestling, formerly Total Nonstop Action (TNA).
I developed two concepts for this project and the below artwork was chosen. It is inspired by comic book style artworks because pro-wrestlers, to me as a kid, were like superheroes. This concept is energetic and some-what playful.
